General Manager

Role Overview:

The General Manager will be responsible for running the entire spa business portfolio and ensuring the business will continue to grow according to Porcelain’s corporate strategy plan. The GM will also be expected to have the ability to lead the entire corporate team overtime by developing and executing companywide business strategies without compromising on our people, service, and operational excellence. This Is a key leadership role for Porcelain where the incumbent should have strong understanding of beauty and service retail Industry.

Responsibilities & Duties:

Finance

  • Accountable for by work closely with Head of Finance to create and manage annual budgets, P&L, balance sheet and cashflow of the business

Human Resource

  • Work closely with the Head of HR to drive the Porcelain Culture, improve performance, increase staff progression, engagement and decrease attrition rates
  • Secure partnerships with schools, and other government agencies to ensure there is a consistently high-quality talent pipeline
  • Work with team leaders to boost morale, communication, transparency within the firm

Marketing

  • Work closely with Head of Marketing to elevate the brand
  • Ability to drive performance of the business through development of sound marketing strategies and tactical online and offline
  • Ensure zero negative PR and drive positive PR
  • Keeping abreast with the market trends, needs and best practices and creating innovative ways of improving business competitiveness
  • Create strong internal communications plan and strategies

Sales and Operations

  • Responsible for the development, execution and performance of business strategies for revenue generation and market share growth
  • Spearhead all expansion plans, including new store openings and franchise plans
  • Ensure compliance legally
  • Strong technological/digital background and adept at using multiple systems – CRM, Microsoft etc
  • Ability to improve operational efficiency and maintain high service quality
  • Customer focused and people focused
  • Work with training and r&d department to identify new trends and develop new service offerings

Management

  • Encourage and create an environment that promotes innovative thinking and practices
  • Responsible for bringing various departments together to drive results
  • Strong and consistent reporting of key business performance results to the management
  • Strong communicator with the ability to lead the team to execute
  • Mature, impartial yet compassionate leader
  • Resourceful in bringing in different elements together during challenging situations
  • Ability to inspire and build a harmonious environment with a focus on the PORCELAIN values.

Job Requirements:

  • At least 10 years of experience in hospitality, retail, or luxury spa operations
  • At least 10 years of leadership experience, people management and development
  • MNC experience a plus
  • Minimum Professional Degree in Business or equivalent in related disciplines
  • Proficient in all MS Office Applications and digitally savvy
  • Outstanding communication skills with excellent command English and Mandarin (spoken) is highly preferred
  • Strong business acumen and strong Interpersonal skills for internal & external relationship building
  • A Team-player with high-level of service orientation as well as organizational skills
