Retail Management Trainee

Role Overview:

The Retail Management Trainee (MT) will participate in necessary training programs that are designed to equip the role with the proficiency and expertise of a manager. The incumbent will get up close and personal with our business and various support units, gaining experience and insight in both the business and industry in the form of hands-on experiential learning and rotation.

Upon the successful completion of the Management Trainee Program, the MT will be granted a junior manager role within the operations department. E.g., Assistant Branch Manager or Sales & Operations Role.

Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Manage the day-to-day operation procedures for every branch.
  • Ensuring all POS transactions, administrative paperwork and reports are completed accurately and in a timely fashion.
  • Oversee general maintenance, cleanliness, and facility management.
  • Perform a Client Relations Executive role
  • Ability to inspire others to work toward a common vision and purpose. 
  • Ability to lead and keep employees motivated.
  • Create and plan schedules, order supplies, and write reports.
  • Identify Customer Engagement/Process improvements
  • Creating a culture of service in the store and lead the sales team to meet sales targets.
  • Provide retail advice suited to customer needs.
  • Assist customers in inquiries, sales purchase, and client relation activities.
  • Maintain and manage merchandise inventory.
  • Analyse and examine sales numbers
  • Read Data Analytics which is required to provide constructive feedback for better business planning.
  • Assist in maintaining the database quality in CRM systems by identifying invalid or incorrect data and advising the customer service team
  • Work with digital and advertising agency on social media updates
  • Provide support to plan, execute, and manage online marketing campaigns and contribute creative ideas on improvement plans to increase online platforms engagement
  • Perform Marketing research and other marketing related activities
  • Propose and implement marketing promotions and ideas
  • Prepare and analyse market reports
  • Contact clients, providing advice and uphold brand values
  • Ad hoc projects and other leadership roles

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum 1 years of working experience preferably in Beauty/Spa industry
  • Digitally proficient and MS Office Application (Words, Excel & PowerPoint)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • High-level of initiative and service orientation
  • Team player with positive attitude and pleasant disposition
