- Avoid alcohol-based toners. A good toner should never dry your skin. Alcohol breaks down the skin’s natural barrier, making it vulnerable to external aggressors. This could irritate your skin and lead to dryness or excess sebum production.
- Look out for water-based toners infused with Aloe Vera, Sodium Hyaluronate or rosewater for soothing and rejuvenating benefits. An even better way to use it is with a lower percentage consistently – as this gives the same results as heavier peels but in a much safer and easier way.
When using Glycolic products, it is important to use sunscreen daily to prevent sun damage. Avoid using Glycolic Toner in the day as it may get sensitivity with sun.
