I am writing this with a very heavy heart.

Seventeen years ago, my mother and I started Porcelain with a simple hope: to build something meaningful, people-first, and full of care. What began as a small, humble effort only grew because of the trust you placed in us, and the support of so many who believed in what Porcelain stood for.

Porcelain is more than a business to us. It became a place built with heart and soul. A home for many of our clients, a place of purpose for our team, and a meaningful part of my life and my mother's life.

Over time, the operating environment became increasingly challenging. About a year ago, we brought in a majority investor in hopes of strengthening the business for the future. Despite efforts from all parties, we were unable to find a way forward.

As a result, Porcelain will now be placed under provisional liquidation.

This is one of the hardest things any founder can face and deeply painful to a beautiful chapter close this way.

To our customers - thank you for giving Porcelain a chance to serve you all these years. Your trust meant everything. It is something I carry with deep gratitude, especially now. You are the reason we exist, and it was your support that allowed us to keep going. Many of the women on our team are strong, independent breadwinners who gave so much of themselves to this work. Through your support as clients, we were able to create careers, livelihoods, growth, and dignity in an industry that often asks so much of its people.

To our team and partners - thank you for your commitment, your care, and the heart you gave, every single day. So many of you have more than a decade of relationship with Porcelain and your contributions mattered. Working alongside each of you will always be a memory I will always carry with pride.

I know this news may bring frustration, sadness, anger, and many questions. Those feelings are valid. I am truly sorry for the distress and uncertainty this has caused. I sincerely appreciate your patience and understanding as the appointed provisional liquidators’ step in to provide clarity on next steps.

During this time, I ask for kindness and consideration for everyone affected as we navigate this difficult transition.

It has been the greatest privilege of my life to have served you over the past 17 years.

Thank you for being part of Porcelain’s journey.

With deepest gratitude,

Pauline Ng
